RFP: 2025 Delta Visitor Guide

Organization Overview:

The Delta Chamber of Commerce, a not-for-profit organization, has operated the Delta Visitor Center for over 20 years on behalf of the City of Delta. As a hub for visitors, the Delta Visitor Center (DVC) plays a key role in promoting the community, the province and tourism opportunities, as part of Destination BC’s Visitor Services program.

 

Project Overview:

Delta Chamber of Commerce is seeking proposals for the design, printing and distribution of the 2025 Delta Visitor Guide.

This guide will highlight Delta’s attractions, amenities, and services, serving as a comprehensive resource for visitors and community members. The project aims to deliver a visually appealing and informative publication that supports local tourism, businesses, and the broader community.

 

Project Goals:

  • Design an engaging and professional visitor guide.
  • Showcase Delta as a vibrant, accessible, and welcoming destination.
  • Ensure wide distribution across key locations in Delta, BC.

 

Scope of Work:

The successful proponent will be responsible for:

  • Design & Layout: Developing a visually compelling and user-friendly print guide.
  • Copywriting: Developing and repurposing written content.
  • Content Integration: Incorporating provided imagery and branding elements.
  • Production: Delivering high-quality, print-ready files and managing the print process.
  • Distribution: Distributing the finalized guide to targeted locations within Delta, B.C.

Advertising sales and the associated revenue will be retained by the successful proponent. Advertising must occupy less than 50% of the total available space.

 

Evaluation Metrics and Criteria:

Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in with visitor and community guide design.
  • Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing previous print projects, with a focus on visitor and/or community guides.
  • Budget: Ability to complete the project within a total budget not to exceed $4,000.
  • Distribution: Distribution of completed guide to locations across Delta, B.C.

 

Timeliness: Ability to meet the project timeline, with a contract start date of February 10, 2025, and completion by April 15, 2025.

 

Submission Requirements

All proposals must include the following:

  • A portfolio of at least three examples demonstrating relevant projects.
  • A breakdown of costs, clearly showing how the budget will be allocated.
  • A proposed timeline for key phases of the project, ensuring completion by April 15, 2025.
  • Proposals must be submitted electronically to the contact listed below no later than 9:00 AM on February 3, 2025.

A decision will be announced by February 7, 2025.
